Circle of Life
Dead animals are indispensable in nature. Carcasses serve as a busy restaurant, where hundreds of other animals gather to feed. The death of one animal means survival for another. However, leaving large dead animals in nature is unusual.
The brochure Circle of Life calls for European cooperation to give our scavengers space again. Practical steps are explained. There are also many benefits for humans: scavengers fulfill an indispensable function as natural cleaners. The nature of dead animals enriches our experience of nature. From observing insects to photographing bears and vultures.
